9 Inspiring Photo Blogs You'll Love

1. Tom Robinson Photography

Who shoots it: Tom Robinson
What it captures: Travel scenes

"In 2008 I packed my bags and hit the road with a rucksack half full of clothes and half full of camera equipment. One year later, I returned and set up my blog to show my friends and family what adventures I'd had along the way. From there, I started getting photography commissions and now regularly travel the world photographing different countries, festivals and events.

"Photography has been a passion of mine for a long time, and I'm fortunate enough to now make a living out of my hobby. It makes me feel very lucky and happy to travel to different parts of the world and record what I find. Having said that, sometimes it drives me nuts -- usually due to bad weather or just not getting the quality of shots I want. I think this motivation is important though, as it makes you constantly try harder."

We asked some stellar photographers and curators why they shoot, what photography means to them and what makes for a moving image. Some of them use photography as an escape, like Jamie Beck, who says, "Through photography, I get to create the world I wish I lived in." Others, like Tom Robinson use it as an honest way to document life: "I simply capture the environment I'm in, in an honest and natural way."
