Police have identified the student they say was responsible for a shooting at Perry Hall High School in Baltimore County, Md. , the same student whose Facebook page was identified Monday by members of the community.
Authorities charged Robert Wayne Gladden, Jr., 15, with attempted first degree murder and first degree assault after a cafeteria shooting that left another student critically wounded.
Gladden was charged as an adult and is being held without bail. The victim, 17-year-old Daniel Borowy, is in critical condition.
Before his name was released by authorities, parents and students from Perry Hall shared Gladden's Facebook page with police. The Facebook page, which is still active, is considered disturbing by most who have shared it.
The page lists Gladden's current occupation as “murder suicide at The Manson Family,” and lists Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two students responsible for the Columbine High School massacre, as his “inspirational people.”
The last post he made to the page, the morning before the shooting occurred, read "First day of school, last day of my life. t(~_~t), fuck the world."
That post has been shared nearly 1,000 times, primarily by concerned individuals wondering how the warning signs on Gladden's Facebook page went apparently unnoticed.
