This connection could be a friend, partner, distant family member or a person who simply would be a stranger without Facebook. We want to know how Facebook helped you to connect and what impact it had on your life. The most inspired stories will be included in a follow-up post that celebrates our 1 million Facebook fans.

Mashable Staff Story: Emily Banks
As an example, Mashable's Associate Managing Editor Emily Banks shared her story of a meaningful connection made on Facebook.
"My now-fiance and I got back in touch through Facebook. We lived on the same dorm floor freshmen year of college, became Facebook friends then (coincidentally, the same year Facebook launched), but we didn't really become real-life friends. Three years later, we bumped into each other at a coffee shop and then started a dialog through Facebook. Now, five years after setting up our first date through Facebook, we're engaged!"
Inspired by Emily's experience? Tell us about a meaningful connection you've made because of Facebook. We look forward to hearing your story!
