iPad rumor recap and how to watch Apple's March 7 press event live on the web

Apple is holding a press event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts space in San Francisco on March 7 at 10 AM PST. Check out the latest iPad 3/HD rumors before you sit down to watch the event unfold, live on the web.    

Apple is largely expected to take the wraps off its next generation iPad during the event, but there may be a few surprises in store, too.

The press event invite shows a person touching the screen of what appears to be an iPad with the caption, “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”

Bloggers have been speculating about the iPad 3 since the iPad 2 first arrived in stores. Now, however, many believe Apple will name the device the iPad HD instead of the iPad 3 aligning it with rumors that claim the device will sport an increased “retina-display” screen resolution and 1080p video capabilities.

Apple may also show off a new and improved Apple TV device to go hand-in-hand with the iPad. MacRumors reports that retail stores across the US are showing the Apple TV as “unavailable for immediate in-store pickup.”
