(CNN) -- This time of year, it seems like a new phone comes out every couple days.

With the next-generation Apple iPhone expected to be unveiled on Wednesday, here's a roundup of some of the hottest smartphones on the market, along with a few that are coming soon. Many of these gadgets are getting faster and bigger -- so big, in some cases, they won't fit in a pocket. For the most part, tactile keyboards are disappearing, too.
