Magician Pairs Tech and Illusion to Tell Story of Famous Inventor [VIDEO]

Tempest (see video above) tells the life story of Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla by using old fashioned pop-up book techniques and digital projection.

"We wanted the piece to be about Tesla, which is why there is zero magic in the piece," he says in a separate video. "There is not a single moment where something appears or disappears or animates -- it's magical."

Tempest previously presented the illusion in a TED Talk in March.
