Fans of got a good look at the sci-fi technology in action at Google I/O on Wednesday.
Google co-founder and CEO Larry Page took the stage at the conference for a live demo of Project Glass. Page was able to talk to a group of skydivers in real-time using the special Google glasses. The skydivers broadcast their jump from just above the Moscone Center in San Francisco via a live Google+ Hangout -- and for the audience at home.

Seeing the Google Project Glass video streaming technology in action was nothing short of breathtaking. As promised, users get to "see" exactly what the wearer of the objects can see -- in this case a breathtaking glimpse of the San Francisco skyline.
If the aerial jump wasn't enough, Page sent Project Glass equipped BMX riders to pick up the jumpers, showcasing a first-person view of scaling walls and doing flips off the side of the building.
The demo went off without a hitch. Google I/O is still being broadcast live, but we'll embed a video of the demo as soon as it is available.
