iPhone launch events are big news in the tech world. The debut of the original back in January 2007 turned a lot of heads and ushered in a new era of smartphone technology.
It also sent Apple stock through the roof, jumping more than 10 points in a few days. That was a big splash. As Apple revealed subsequent iterations of the iPhone, market reaction was mixed.
