Apple told Mashable that it will open its online store for eager customers one minute after midnight on the West Coast. Because of the time change, brave East Coasters will have to wait until 3:01 a.m. ET to be among the first to pre-order the iPhone 5.
While that means a late night for some Apple fanatics, at least they'll be able to make their purchases in the comfort of their own pajamas instead of dealing with the long lines expected to hit Apple retail stores at 8 a.m. nationwide on Friday, September 21.
