Media Player VLC Now Available for Android as Beta





VideoLAN's popular media player VLC, known for being able to crunch almost any media file without the need for external codecs, has made its way to Android in beta form.

VLC plays "most multimedia files as well as discs, devices, and network streaming protocols," claims VideoLAN.

However, this version is not stable, and is primarily intended for power users and hackers. As VideoLAN puts it, "it might kill your kitten, destroy your house and start the mayan apocalypse."
